    Default Whats this?

Hi, was just looking under the bonnet of my ss and found this broken hose at the back of the motor, it looks like its just a breather but i dont know that much about motors so, Does anyone know what this hose is? What affect would it have on the motor being broken if any? Could this be the cause of a strong fuel smell that only comes sometimes? Cheers Whats this?-sa400329.jpg

It's the PCV hose Y connector, a common problem. It would be running pretty badly with that broken, possibly even the engine warning light will be on. $70 something dollars for the whole thing. It is worthwhile replacing the entire PCV hosing because the other rubber connections would be in about the same condition.
