Default Removing Shifter from Getrag Gearbox

Could someone enlighten me how to remove the shifter from a Getrag 5 speed? The shifter is like stirring custard in a bowl and I'd like to replace the pivot bushing at the base of the shifter.

Reading the Gregory's manual, it requires the gearbox crossmember bolts to be removed so that the gearbox can be lowered but I've read on this forum that it's only a 20 min job???

Do I need to drill out the pins (highlighted in red) to remove the shifter or is there a more simple way?

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah, a Billet shifter would be great but not within the budget unfortunately.

So how did you remove the standard shifter to fit the Billet Shifter?

you can remove the whole shifter assembly from the bottom of the car above the gearbox involves 2 cleavis pins on the box and 4 bolts into the trans tunnel undo these the whole thing should drop out then you can modify to get it all to fit later.
