vx computer fault

my vx computer keeps coming up with fault 101
what does this mean.
the car looses power, as if its starved for fuel, i replaced the fuel pump 7 months ago.
help!!

are u sure its 101? the fault list only goes to 97

101 Mass Air Flow Sensor

is this different from the air flow switch, cos i replaced this and is has made no difference. thanx for the info though
