Default BMW Wheels = Holden VX Wheels?

Was in the market for new 17inch wheels and the wheel agent told me that OEM 17inch wheels from BMW will fit my holden VX? Is there any truth to this?

Been asked before. I doubt there's much difference VS or VX when it comes to rims.

BMW wheels - will fit? Offset, hub issues?

Thats all well and good, but my wagon had some wicked BMW wheels on it (16") when i got it,
and the rubbed like a bitch (the wagon also has chopped springs - when I got it, I didn't do it) and was stupidly low, which may have also contributed to the problem.

I reckon there are some clearance issues - at least with really low cars.

Might be the offset is different?

Didn't hang on to them long enough to check, I imagine thats what the problem was.
They had bald tyres, so I stuck the VT SS's off my Berlina under it.

BMW wheels have the same stud pattern as Commdores. to have them fit with out any problems all depends on what series/model BMW they came off and the Offset.

The reason being is that Jack (my dog) scratched up all the satin paint off all 4 wheels. Since my rear tyres (235/45R17) will be due to change to new ones soon, then i was looking for new wheels and tyres. I'm seriously looking at changing the wheels as long as they have the same offset and no rubbing issues and still use the same sized tyres. I'm not up sizing to larger wheels and i'm using the OEM suspension components.

I'm not into cheap knockoff or replicas of the real product either. just looking for a substitute that is preferably lighter and handles just as well

they are the same, although you will need to in stall hub rings as the x5 has larger hubs then the commodore (vt anyway) .... i found this out the hard way after fitting x5 rims to my vt ..... 4 snapped studs on my rear wheel is what it took to make me notice the differance
