hi all,
was just wondering if someone can help me out. i have a vt v6 which i did a manual conversion. now everything is all in and wired up but it wont run. as i start it it revs up to 2 grand then stalls straight away and does this everytime. i have replaced the fuel pump, injectors, leads and plugs but still wont run
any help would be appreciated.
you running the same ecu you were before the conversion

no i changed the ecu to suit the manual but running the same bcm
swap ecu back to the old one and run the memcal out the new ecu she will go.

changed the ecu back over and put the other memcal in but still same problem. another thing it does is when you turn the key to ON, then turn it that last bit to start it has nothing but if the key is OFF then you turn it all the way to start without stopping it will crank over. and often when you do that it will just cut out. it will do this about 5 times then it will actually fire.
Key barrel might be stuffed or there might be a loose connection with the ignition?
umm ive already replaced the barrel so im thinking i might need to change the ignition switch
did you change the keys at the same time as the barrel did you use one that matches your bcm

hi buddy! i can save you!~ if crank "quick" and starts but cuts out normally immobiliser fault e.g. get key reprogrammed or one of the ecus you have fitted is wrong V.I.N. number.
if all else fails turn key to"on" position does the flashig red light go out if not is DEFINATELY key if light flashes when cranking is DEFINATELY immobiliser fault either way not going to start if incorrect, this generally happens when ECU's are exchanged without "sps" or reprogramming to lamens.
reccomoned STOP THROWING PARTS AT IT and ask for a mobile holden mechanic at any dealership to come and diagnose fault, will be around one hours labour (or) 100 bucks if they find codes etc ask FOR THEM and i will tell you what they are if they wont hope this helps dave. Oh alos some of the manual conversions i see at work KEEP the auto program in ecu and just bridge the P-N switch wires at shifter inside car but this fault means wont crank at all....
