not a huge problem however when the vt revs out to 4k and above while accelerating the battery light comes on. volts are at a constant 14.2-3volts. no less no higher.
and i've noticed that reving past 4k while in Park/Neutral the batery light comes on and the speedo goes to 20km/h...wtf? anyone else notice anything like this?
???????????????
May be an alternator regulator. I know the volt reading stays the same but the battery light doesn't come on for no reason.
As long as your battery isn't dead yet (they usually die when a reg goes) I'd try replacing the reg which only costs around $60 for a non genuine like OEX and if that doesn't work the next step is the alternator

regulator is my guess aswell it is a 8-10 month old alternator so thats why i asked as i thought it wouldnt be stuffed.. i have a second hand one so i swap em.
When you fitted the new alternator didn't it come with a new reg as well? If so you should still have a warranty on it

it did. so if the swaping fixes the problem then ill act on the warranty...
Belts aren't slipping??? Could it be high revs the belt is giving out? Is anything else affected when you rev that high?
nothing else stuffs up, just this light but im not 2 concerned bout it cause it goes away.
