Inconsistant surge

I really need some help!!! Basically it started off surging under load, now it does it all the time, on idle, cruising and i think I've even lost a bit of power. Ir has a lumpy idle, then randomly it coughs. I tried:
•leads and plugs
•coil packs and module
•fuel filter
•engine fault codes ( was thinking maybe oxygen sensor) turns out no error

other then these I don't know what else to try.
I thought maybe crank angle sensor but I didn't get an error????


If someone could please help. I just want her working smooth again.

We had a weird surge, very inconsistant, it sat on a shops computer all day and no faults, so took off, got round the corner and it cutout. So mainly on corner's it would cut out, but most of the time it hesitated when taking off and wasn't right. Took a punt, it was the Fuel Pump Module. Not saying that's your problem but keep that in mind.

Could I do the fuel pump myself???
Also what does the carbon canister look like and were is it located??
