    Default dash cluster on vx calais displaying a little x sign

    ive just taken my climate control apart and changed the backlight bulbs on my vx calais series 1. its all plugged back in and working fine but it has a little x displayed in the dash cluster on the led screen now(the screen that u set your speed alert in) does anyone know why this has come up and how to get rid of it? thanks for any help..

    Last time I see this - the cluster has logged an error from being powered up without the airbag connected. It may need to be cleared by a tech 2 tool.

    ok the actulal dash was never removed or fiddled with just the climate control adn the batery was disconected call me dumb but wat is a tech 2 (is it holden computer). cheers for the advice

    ok thanks mate il check it out, if its cheap il get it looked at if not il look at it every day til it gives me the shits.dont thinks its doin any harm.. cheers for the info

    The little "X" on the first window in a 3 window cluster means you have logged a Climate Control error. Usually happens if you unplug your climate control switch while battery is still plugged in. if thats all you've done, remove your battery terminals, hold your foot on the brake to drain the battery, then plug it back in

    thanks mate i actualy disconnected the battery for a seperate install and it fixed it,. cheers for the tip tho
