    Default Vx exhaust question

I got a sports exhaust from my local exhaust shop but ive been checking out other cars i see and the seem to have a nice deep loud noise nothing like a v8 but a hell of a lot better than what im getting at the moment so was wondering if any one had and suggestions for me.

what they probably got their exhaust place to do is leave one muffler off. normally there's 2, a resonator and a muffler, both kinda act as mufflers. if you want power i'd suggest keeping them because you need some restriction to build up pressure, no pressure=no power, if you want to lose power but get more noise, take one off, the rear one near the tip. up to you. i left both mine on coz i want power, also i think the purr sounds better than the thoaty scream

    Funny stuff.

You don't need restriction at all. Back pressure is bad. You need exhaust velocity, something you won't get with a 2 1/2" system on a stock V6.

The mufflers/resonators on a 2 1/2" sports system are straight through anyway, the only thing they affect is noise.
