Hello i have a 5.7 gen 3 auto 4 VT and The coolant low level light turned on but i didnt add coolant the car was fine then i decided to add coolant so when i added to the correct level the light turned off but after 10 mins of driving it turned back on and stays on and the coolant level is fine there are no leaks and now when i start the car the light turns on as soon as i start the car??????
i read that the coolant sensor it at the bottom of the resivour so how is it suppose to see the level
can someone please tell me what is wrong and how the sensor works if they now

Try flushing the system and replacing the thermostat.
clean the system...and clean the contact point on the snesor for the overheat...or even replace it..
look at one of my other replies to overheating etc...re: doing the flush system...
and here is a side bar advise......when a car light or alert or warning goes off...check it right then and there....that is what they are there for...and also..when a warning light comes on..and off or stays on etc...SLOW down...back off the engine.! and check it ..and if you dont find anything stay backed off the engine until you find out.....![]()
