Any one know how wide the standard steel rims were, I've heard the police Commodores had widder steel rims. I want to take the 17'' rims off and replace them with 15'' so to have some rubber to asborb the shock of the Qld country roads.
they came in 6 inch and 7 inch, I think it was the utes that had the 7 inch.
series 2 police cars had the wider rims, ive got a series 1 and stuck with the 6" wide (205/65R15), 7" (225/70R15[i think]).

I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
all bt1 cars got 7" wides, and i think vy-vz utes got 7" aswell I THINK (cant remember to be honest)
You can fit 225/60/15's on 6's and 7's![]()
