1st VX SS Value?

my mate has the first vx ss and wants to know how much he could get for it in private sale. he has been offered $60000 by the local holden dealership. here are stats that i can remember.
first vx ss commodore
black with sunroof
custom SA CHEVY01 plates (has been offered $10000 for these but refused)
5.7L V8
six speed gear box
96,000 KMs on the odometer
chevy blue badged

its an awesome car and is hoping to get enough for a HDT blue meanie
any ideas would be great cheers

id take the 60k its not really a collector car as its just a vxss just my opinion

If he wants more for it, he needs to stop driving it. $60k is pretty damn good, someone as the dealership must be a collector.

VX SS is nothing special... even if it is the 1st one...

I think the dealer is having a lend of him mate.... $6,000 trade in more like it for a ten year old commodore with almost 100,00km on it. Where is the build number on an ss??

Take the 60k and run its no LE HSV and would be not sought after at all, maybe if it was the first VT2 LS1 but even that would be a lonnnnnnnnnngshot.

Yeah i agree with you on that one, its only a vx ss. I know people who has spent more than $100,000 on a commodore and they still dont get $60,000 back when they sell it..

If op is serious, take the 70k and run, there no way either of those things are worth that much. (also love to know how you know its the first one )
Considering a WH Grange in red (only one i've ever heard of in that colour) sold for about that much, with NO k's on it.
