Just wanna know if any1 knows how to relocate the ls1 coolant tank to somewhere hidden in the engine bay.
You can't really hide it anywhere because it needs to be at the height it is at the moment.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
For the VZ you need to replace the radiator. The earlier LS1 coolant bottles are pressurised and the radiator doesn't have a rad-cap. Looked this up elsewhere and the whole radiator and overflow bottle needs to be swapped out. Not that difficult and only minor mods.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
What about this scenario: VX LS1 in VN with VL V8 capped radiator.... do I get lots of freedom for where to mount the bottle?

the only thing i can think of is a relocate kit from ase. here is the link HEADER TANKS & CATCH CANS - OVERFLOW BOTTLES - HEADER TANK GEN 3 VT-VY KIT - ASETurbo
$270!? **** that, I'll use a coke bottle and hide it under the guard
Seriously though, I will be there are cheaper options than that, just need to use some initiative and think outside the box! I'd better get thinking..

lol yea its a bit much ay but what ever u use, the feed line has to be higher then the radiator just get a alloy one built to any shape u want and put a pressure cap on it should not matter what size it is then mount it where ever ya want it. that would be the cheapest way.
My radiator, being a VL V8 one, has a pressure cap on it already. Does this mean I can put the tank wherever I like?

If the tank isn't sealed and pressurised then pretty much yes. Having said that I wouldn't put it below the level of the radiator, though, at least the bottom hose... so between top and bottom hoses like a V6 one
