the BODY KIT.

hav they done work on your car? wat price am i looking at?
looks like a VX cluuby kit on a VX six banger, except the fog light recesses seem different, could just get a cubby kit done in fibberglass (fibreglass) and painted to your colour, you can get them over east and here in WA as well, you can fit it yourself or get a pro to do it. google bodykits in perth.
yea i have been on there site, but it just shows you cluby, ss, sports and race kit body kits and they look like s*** except for the clubby. but would they be able to make the one in the picture.
at the azune website they call it a "dominator" kit.
Its the dominator kit. I posted a link to it in another thread probably a few threads below this earlier tonight.
VT - VX COMMODORE DOMINATOR FRONT BUMPER
To fit and finish this TO FACTORY QUALITY, a shitload of money. And then it will go to shit given a few years in the sun anyway.
My old kit cost me $1500 supply only in gel coat, and it was nowhere close to fitting properly. Any painter worth their salt usually doesn't like to touch this stuff either, because it will go to shit in such a short time and a few other reasons also from those who I approached regarding mine.
Have fun and good luck if you do decide to go this way.

awesome they paint it aswell, hows there work? do you know if they will do it cheaper if i get the whole thing.
Difference is stock kits are plastic and flex nicely and hold paint well, cheapo fibreglass (which all these kits are made from) weathers badly, behaves differently when flexed/wobbled/whatever, and for reasons I don't understand, paint on them always seems to go bad very quickly. I honestly cannot think of a SINGLE vehicle I have seen with a significantly large area of painted fibreglass that still looks show quality 5 years after fitment/paint.
Suppliers of course would rather you not know this
Now I didn't complete my kit (did a dodgy home paint job then removed it almost immediately) so this is not from first hand experience, but I have seen lots of these kits go bad in the past and I myself am witness to how significantly expensive they can be to finish properly. Here you go, a few numbers from my expense/quote list:
Initial purchase of front bar, rear bar, side skirts: $1500+
Initial fitment: $300. This was a totally rubbish job and I would have taken it back but I was due to leave the state (ACT) the very next day.
Fibreglass repair quote from spoiler factory to get everything aligned correctly and smooth: $3-700, can't remember
Painters' quotes: $700 to $1500, depending who I spoke to, and that's just the ones who would actually do the job. I was refused by at least a half dozen reputable places.

savage, VP GTS used fibreglass bars and they usually still look goodhowever thats different, and obviously made at a much higher quality than the shit kits shown in the first post

And the entire body of a Corvette is fibreglass and they last more than 5 years! just depends who paints it I think
any painter who knows what their doing can paint fibreglass to last. i paint boats for a living. everything i paint is worth over 1.5 million dollars! do you think my customers would be happy if it only lasted 12 months?
True Value is in the Eye of the Beholder
jk, a mate of mine builds fibreglass tanks, and often has friends bring him around body kits to make copies of, and i would agree its upto the painter, when my friend paints it, using proper gel coats and what not, it looks mint and stays that way for years, then there is others that he hasnt painted and just handed back for the person to paint themselves and it looks terrible
dunno why you would even bother they look horrible
preparation is the same whether it's a two dollar body kit or a multi million dollar boat. find a painter who knows what they are doing.
