I have a vx holden commodore II late 2001 model. When i'm driving it keeps spluttering and sounds really sick. Say i'm driving along at 60 and decide to accelerate it jerks and carrys on for a bit while its accelerating.
I have taken it to 2 different mechanics and the problems still there. I have replaced the fuel filter, all 3 coils, engine mounts, spark plugs, leads, pulleys and pulley belt, tyres, air filter, oil and oil filter and its still doing it.....
Can anyone help me??? Its extremely frustrating. Its done 262000 kms and i've never had any problems until about 3 months ago...
air mass meter ?
i have a similar problem, but only when i put my foot to the floor. i've yet to do anything about it yet because i've had numerous expenses but i plan on changing all the electrical stuff like you've done, if that doesn't work, then i'll be looking at the possibility of my transmission on it's way out. i've also been told that the ecu might have issues. just a few thoughts
carbon cannister
On the throttle body there should be a hose underneath, check that it is still on. Also check that the hose hasn't split. This happened to me twice, now it has a hose clamp on it.

Thanks guys....
I've had my transmission checked out and thats all sweet. That was one of the first things i thought of. I'm about to put it back into the mechanics to see what else we can find wrong with it.... Will keep everyone updated.
