    Thumbs down LS1 HEAD BOLTS N GASKETS N LIFTERS were do i get them?????

    i went to my local holden dealer to get a quote n omg!!!!!! couldn believe wat they were askin they seriously wanted $2649.64 for head bolts(529.28) gaskets(427.07)lifters(1696.29)... this is absolutely obsurd!!!!!!!

    i only need standard replacement parts nothing fancy... its a pre 01 ls1...oh and also 918 beehive springs????

    plz help!!!!! i have spent hrs searching the net n im having no luck there seems to be a lot of ppl exploiting the retail value of these parts... its hard to find gud value these days....

    i wud really appreciate any help... im 2hrs from brisbane 1hr from toowoomba...

    roller lifters are like $88 each, crow cams make good lifters for about $40 a piece, you can get them off ebay...
    get a VRS kit from monotorque or equivalent brand, that gives you head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, valve stem seals, rocker cover gaskets
    repco and most parts shops sell VRS kits and can give you a price straight away

    I will keep an eye on this thread as i will need to replace the lifters soon as mine starting to tick randomly. and will be looking at replacing the same things

    check your oil pressure too.... 98-04 year gen3's tend to have low oil pressure at idle after about 80,000 k's and the oil pressure switch doesnt pick it up, replaced a few pumps at work now too... worth doing while your sumps off

    From what i have read you can do it without taking the sump off. I dont really want to pull the engine out
