Default 3 Questions from a newby.

Hi all, yeah,my first post so be kind to me,I'm a little daunted by the size of this forum! My daughter has just bought a VT II Berlina wagon and good old dad has been asked to tidy up a few things.I'm sure all of this has been asked and answered before, and I did try searching but ended up with information overload.I'm an old fart and my computer skills are fairly dusty.Anyway, these are them:
Is there a way to restore the black trims around the windows back to something like original, see pics.

2.Is the chrome trim in the centre of the "door protector strip" replaceable on its own,if so,
    how so? See pics:

3,and lastly, can these missing "pockets" on the back of the front seats be purchased separately from the seats? If so,would a wreckers be an option?Any pointers appreciated.I also need advice on how to remove that entire plastic back on the seats if I'm going to fit new,(used,) pockets.See pics:

That's about it,any help will be greatly appreciated, cheers Ian.

Rubber surrounds I've tried to figure out myself but looks like you may need to remove the fixed glass to do it. Pretty sure holden would have the brand new rubbers

Chrome strip, I very much doubt it. Its probably all glued together

Seat pockets are available brand new from Holden and are reasonably cheap. Could go wreckers but some clips are usually broken when you remove the pockets meaning you'd need to go buy the clips from holden anyways whereas they come with a new pocket.

    Default holmart

google search (holmart) they have surplus holden stock.. i remember seeing those book holders behind the seat cheap as new-with the clips u need for the seat back as well..my advice once u put new ones on dont use them... they all seem to stuff up.. as for the trims.. personally i wud remove the side strips-have to watch other car doors in car parks though think thats there main purpose to stop other doors whacking your car.. as for the other black rubbers i wud say wreckers..could also be worth askin a paint shop if yhey are paintable.oh n parking in the shade from there on in... good luck... your a good dad your daughters lucky ;p ...

I'd put masking tape and newspaper all around the strips, rub them back and spray with a can of black satin finish paint. Same with the chrome strips but with a good chrome paint; it should come up alright. I doubt you'll find new replacements.

Many thanks to all for the replies, and the heads up from matqld for the link to Holmart, they do have the pockets,(and just about anything else.)

Can someone point me to a "how to" in removing the back of the seat that the pocket clips fasten to?
    Cheers guys,Ian.

To remove the back of the seat you need to first remove the lumbar/recliner knobs from the side of the seat - they go through the part you are removing.
They have a retaining circlip so don't just rip em out or you'll break the knob. If you push against the plastic next to the knob you will see the clip I'm talking about.
Once they are removed you can push against the bottom of the back of the seat and lift a little. You will feel when the clips come undone.
If you break these clips (or they are already busted) you can pick up new ones from holden for bugger all.

Install new map pockets and reinstall in reverse order. Its pretty easy.

    Good Luck.
