    Default Commodore 98 auto reving up high when started and gears crunch

    When i start the car the engine idles too high and when you change the auto gears from park to reverse or drive it crunches a bit. Any one can help?

    Hey Gyso, that sounds pretty serious to me. If I were you I would take it to have the transmission serviced as soon as possible. You would be looking at around $2,100 for an exchange box if it dies on you, so getting in for the experts to look at it is well worth it IMO

    i had this problem i changed my IAC and TPS on the trottle body also gave it a good clean out, and the idles went back to normal so when i put in reverse or drive it doesnt grind anymore

    Now Saving for a Harrop HTV2300 Supercharger kit!
