Engine Light

Hello all,
My engine light comes on,stay's on a bit then goes out then when driving will come on again,i've heard about connecting pins 5 and 6 under the steering wheel,will this work on a 1998 vt,and also,when i pinch my radiator hose steem will come from the top of the radiator,can i put good tape on this area for now,thanks..............

From where in the "top of the radiator"? But that doesn't really matter, putting tape on any coolant system leaks aint going to hold in 140 odd psi.

my guess is uve got a split ??? is your temp guage making its way up to hot, that would possibly put your engine light on, and putting tape on a radiator isnt really going to work it mat only be about 15 psi in there but the water and heat will wreck the tape real quick

if its not to big of a crack and its in the plastic, as a band aid fix go to repco and pic up some stuff called Q-Bond sets like cement and is made to be used on radiators

Bridge pins 5&6 works on the V6 VTs not V8s
Read the error codes and look up on the forum what the code means go from there.

thanks,the radiator leak is on another car,the vt engine light comes on,will brige the pins.
