Hi all, just been doing my 200k service on my car and got to changing the spark plugs , i have ngk bp6efs-13 any idea why these are fitted , i remember a couple of years ago when i had it converted to lpg the garage recommended the spark plugs were changed to these , and ever since this is what has been in here but couldnt find any on the shelves of any of the usual suspects today , so anyone else running gas what plugs do you use , thanks
NGK BP7EFS gapped to 1.0mm would be my choice for LPG .
The GMH recommended 'plug for LPG is the standard 'plug, 1.5mm gap, as used for petrol. The replacement interval becomes 20K km (vs 40K km) though. Provided the coil can jump the gap and the voltage doesn't "leak" elsewhere i.e. the coils and leads are good, the wider gap will reduce the incidence of misfire.
THe plus is BPR6EFS-13 as its 1.3mm gap instead of 1.5. I am currently running the specific Bosch LPG Plug (http://www.bosch.com.au/content/lang...4_Brochure.pdf) , with a stock gap of 0.7mm and platinum tip. Champion Gold are excellent as well, and re gap to 1.3 or lower.
