I am looking to fitting a front sway bar to my Vx v6 ecotec. Has anyone installed one of these ? Are they easy to install ? The most i have ever done suspension wise on my car is front radius rod bushes lol.
G'day vxcalais_01,
Hope you don’t us popping in but we were only just told about this thread and suggested we might like to help.
I wish I could say it was quick job but unfortunately for that model it’s not. The product page Whiteline Automotive - performance handling and suspension products. car spring coil shock damper swaybar sway bar anti-sway bush bushes australia australian whiteline automotive performance road holding turn-in camber caster toe in vehicle hot 4 v8 shows an estimated fitting time of 3 hours and its best done with a hoist to support the front cross member cradle assembly.
The good news though is that it makes a big difference on these cars particularly for day to day handling improvement. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.
Cheers

THanks for the reply Jim.
I run the WL adjustable bar and it's killer. I DIYd with a mate in the driveway with jack stands and 2 trolley jacks. Absoloute c*#t of a job. I'd rather pull and engine to tell the truth.
If you go the front bar I'd recommend fitting the rear at the same time as it is a drastic step up in firmness but makes the car soooooooooooo much better to drive
