Hey all. got a problem i bought a vt on gas and on fuel it drives ordinary, id say its injectors need cleaning but on gas it keeps stalling. ill be driving along and as long as im accelerating its fine but as soon as i take my foot off for a while, say im goin down a hill, the revs drop off to nothing and when you try to accelerate again it stalls. any idea? cheers
Could be a number of things that can cause that.. I'll say it most likely be a ring mixer type LPG system, so the frist things i'll check is to see if the balance line has come off. It will be a hose thats going to the dirty side of the air box
NEVER LATE IN A 355ci
too lean mixture setting or the balance is not correctly fitted or maybe to much ram air stalling the engine on deccel , excessive ram air in balance line over riching mixture on deccel , what system is fitted to your car ? maybe incorrect software settings ?
Hey, any update on this? I have similar problem with my VT. Car starts and drives (although runs bit rough on take off etc) but as soon as you decellerate (mostly going downhills) it stalls and revs drop right off. Car then starts straight back up. Finally after this going on for a few weeks and slowly stalling more often the engine check light has come on. Other possible symptons maybe related is that i can hear a hissing or sucking noise while driving, comes from near the firewall (on passengers side i think). Im thinking in order of most likely:
EGR Valve, Purge Cannister/hose to inlet, TPS Sensor, PCV valve, VSS
I'd appreciate your thoughts on this guys before i attempt a self diagnostic or over priced mechanic diagnostic. Cheers!
VT is stalling on gas it happens when i switch it to gas. dose anyone know what the problem is
