Default 2001 WH Statesman - Radiator Problems HELP PLEASE!

    gday,

have a 2001 WH Statesman and i just noticed a slight leak from plug just below the radiator cap. wondering how to take this plug out does it screw out? or is it permanently glued?

you can see the end piece, which is where it leaks.

and from a different angle, it seems like its definitely a separate piece (otherwise i guess firstly it wouldn't be leaking, secondly it wouldn't have this sort of pattern for later unscrewing..)

any help would be greatly appreciated as this is very urgent as it needs to be fixed asap.

    Thanks
    Tim

i think its moulded in.....i am not sure....

however....i had a mate with leaking one too.....and i did what we did with a leaking welsh plug....

    \there is a putty....compound...we bought....from a hardware.....it looks like muffer putty bandage...
    its in a strip....
it is light blue --grey with a band of dark blue running on the outside strip....

What you do is clean and remove water ...from the area.....and you break off an amount and then rubber the dark strip together with the dull putty ..
so what you have is activation putty with putty...
after a few minutes when you get 1 colour and you mixed it quickly....

place it in the wholes like breaking off little portions of the main putty mix and lay like little welds of putty over each other pushing
in ...and do it as quickly as you can...
so mix in small dose is best...
    like large marble

In 1 hr to 2 hr it goes off..... like normal car bog does....
    now you can replay

when the stuff has been on 12hrs to 24 ...its fully hard.. you can treat it like bog or liquid steel

it seals good let me tell you...........ist about $9 last time i got some..
    then we painted it black...
and my mate has had it in his vs for 2 years
i had in in a na ford for 6years and vn for 5 as welsh plug putty...

why cause it was the dam welsh plugs right near that dam cross member and i needed to get home to go buy replacement welsh plugs
the stuff was so good i stuill have the welsh plugs waiting in the glovebox

i am sure maybe someone can professional plastic weld...
    but ....
    this idea works...
