normally cuts out the interior lights
I've got a holden vx executive which was once an undercover police car, therefore it has a few extras.
What i want to know is what the switch below the trip computer controls does, and if i could re-wire it (it seems to be disconnected).
cheers

normally cuts out the interior lights
thanks
I don't know why it doesnt work, i guess maybe they snipped the wires to it or something when they de-commissioned it. Do you think i could get it working again?
That's all interior lights, boot and glove box included. You might want to hit up the dash with some armour all while your at it ;P
pull the plastic off and see of you can re connect it to kill the interior lights, would be a cool gadget lol.
Thanks all, yeah she was a bit dusty when i took that photo :P haha and yes i think it would be a pretty cool gadget![]()
Yeah, good for the whole "let's be creepy" :P
Write over the button. with "rape" see what your passengers reactions are like when you push the Rape button.
Wish my interior switch was that nice I just have a dodgy push/pull switch that bypasses the door switch
Just paint it red, then when driving at night press the "big red button" freak the frack out you passenger when the car goes dark![]()
Those police "interior light" kill buttons are connected to your fuse box under your steering wheel. It plugs into your "interior illum" fuse slot, which becomes switched with the button, and there is a inline fuse holder that houses the fuse. somebody probably pulled out the plug and put the fuse straight into the fuse box, rather than put a new fuse into the power line going to the switch. I assume the fuse probably blew at one stage.
