feeling ripped off!!!

can anyone tell me, what the correct rpm's are for a VT Exec v6???

and my mechanic found my base idle was incorrect at 67 steps, so he adjusted it and the base idle is now at 22 steps...

but the idle is STILL rough...

and my rpm is under 1000!!!!!! it's about the 500 mark, when in drive.. and about 650 to 700 when in park...

can anyone help.. PLEASE...

i dont know the number of steps....to set by...however...
i can tell you my vt..vx engine..sits around 650rpm...--and around 750-850 rpm in N or P or which the air con on..
and as low as 550-600 rp,m it runs so smoooth you dont know if its on or off...

so before i go messing with base settings...i make sure the timing and spark is right..and flow mix it right

nothing wrong where you have it set...its a question of lean ...and quality of spark...and timing and air !
