hi i put a motor and auto box in a different car it was out of a vt when i started it the box was slipping could that be low oil? also i found it had bilt up presher in the dip stick (gearbox) the is i small host coming of it that i blocked so i unblocked it and now its fine (still slipping but) were dose the breather hose go? there is 3 hoses that all join but this is a smaller one i havent checked the oil yet but if its low would it slip thanks heaps

checking the oil level is the first thing you should of done

so did you put engine and gearbox from vt to vt ?
can we assume it was an auto transmission ?

ok i put motor and box into a ford transit van il bee doing the oil tomorow . if its low would it slip? and do you no were the small hose is ment to go (the hose from the box} thanks ps sorry boult the spelling

and it dont matter if its a manual or auto if it does not have the right amount of oil it wont run correctly...

i guessing its a auto....and if its oil level is not 100% not only wont it work but you can damage the tranny...
if you left it all connected...and never drained it...
and shoved in a rage and sealed off the drive tial shaft...good...

its been some time since i pulled out a auto tranny...i have to have a look at a spare vn auto i got in the shed...
or check the workshop book...on the vt....

I think the hose you a talking about is a breather hose and doesn't connect to anything.

kool thanks and yes it is a vt auto box dont think i stuffed it just need oil id say i hope lol just when i first put it in drive it moved but reved up like it was slipping thanks again
