    Default active select shift

hey people, just wondering if there is a way to have active select/paddle shift/ tiptronic on my vx commodore, like the VZ SV6?

its an auto, and yes i should have bought a manual, but didnt have enough $$$

if anyone knows anything about this topic, that would be sweet.

I suppose technically it might be possible since the computer controls the shifts, you could make your own signal with some custom paddles or something. But really why bother? If you want the manual thing, get a Stage 3 'full manualised' shift kit and use the gear shifter.

I would love this in my VT, or even just the change up and down type auto. Manuals are the real weapon of choice but it would be nice. instead of making shift change noises with my mouth.

Judging by what I'm reading here, TransGo Hi-Performance Stage 3 Shift Kit for 4L60E (93-0N) [RK-4L60E-3] - $685.00 : Furious Performance, Online Performance Parts Store , you lose all automatic function, so D will just be 4th gear. If you still want to have auto capabilities, I recommend a Stage 2 kit, will still hold 1st 2nd and 3rd to any RPM.

Also you will get sick of full manual box pretty soon, and then what? Also if you forget to change up while accelerating hard, or you accidentally get 1st gear instead or dropping to 2nd, the gearbox will die, badly.

For the amount you'd spend on this, why not just get a manual conversion?
