vt berlina power areal and new cd player

just wondering if anybody has put in a new cd player and got the power areal to work.
its the one with the switch on the head unit. havnt done anything yet but really need info on if it still goes up and down when you turn the ignition on/off without the control switch

The new headunit will be wired so when you have the radio on the aerial will come up, when you have a cd playing or usb/ipod etc the aerial will go down.

unless you get one with a screen. i got a head unit with a screen (i know i was young and stupid...it's in there now lol) then the antenna is up whether you're listening to the radio, listening to a cd or watching a dvd. for some reason they decided that all units with a screen would run constant power to the antenna lol. what i ended up doing was rewiring the aerial power wires and making a switch so that i can control the power that goes into it. so when i'm watching a dvd or listening to a cd, i just flick a switch and the antenna goes down lol.
