Motor replace

vt v6 auto, car has done over 310964k`s and im gonna buy another motor from the wreckers and replace it just cause i dont want to take the change with a old motor,
Just wondering is there anything i can do to the motor before i slap it in? was thinking of changing the rear main seal as im told the v6`s have a problem with it leaking

and the water pump

and the fan belt
check the idler and tensior pulleys..

and new plugs and leads

and new oil and filter
and...
flush that overflow tank and rad and car heater core good....and use 1/2 coolant 1/2 water and bleed
and since you done that shout the auto transmission to new oil..and new filter...
