Default Water collection in boot seals

Ok I'm sure you all have this problem, but the last week of rain has really pissed me off.

Is there any way to stop the water collecting in the boot seals so when you open the boot the water doesn't drain onto my head/stuff in boot.

Is there anything you can do about it?

hey mate if you have a spoiler its most likely the spoiler gaskets that are stuffed.
It involves going to auto pro or whatever and buying a set, then taking off ur spoiler and sticking the new gaskets on.
    its that easy
    hope this helps
450 good reasons to just power on

well apart from placing the car in a shed or under a carport...
or covering it with a weather protector....

the reason why you have water in the boot seal is more important...

i have found that holdens attrack frogs ....
and frogs love to live in the door jams and boots and bonnets closing points...

what you need to do with your boot...is
check the rubber is in tact..if not replace it or seal it...
check that all the water area...around the rubber in the groove channel is clean ..in fact wax polish it clean...
    so the water sheds off...

you could place a section of tart in the boot that sticks out under all points of boot corners ..
you could use black plastic sheet as e well

you will also find you get water getting in the boot lights...and running in the boot lid and boot floor that way..
so the answer is really replace the boot lid lights seal and seal it good..

Get a scriber or small screwdriver. On the inside of your boot lid near each corner you will find a half circle looking lump about (from memory) 8mm in diameter and 10mm long. Push your scriber thru the paint at the half round end. Behind the paint it will be full of putty. Scrape out all the putty and then the water will be able to drain out.
Bit of a production line fault with the VT, they painted over the drain holes.
I don't know how to post pics, but you look for long enough and you'll find em

    @benjamino don't have a spoiler.
@ Billy Bob sounds like that's the issue, I'll have a look after work tomorrow.
