Default Monaro front end conversion on VT-S

Hey guys, i just bought a genuine vt monaro front bar with the lower black grill missing. I sourced that from holden for a surprisingly cheap $36 lol

Anyway, Im just after the rest of the components . Does any one know what size foglights fit straight in? and with the top grill (where the lion badge is) is there any other deign grill to fit in there? like the vt manta grill or something? as i have custom vt grills but because there is not split in the middle, its all one whole grill they wont fit..

    So questions are

    - What size fog lights go in a vt monaro front bar?
    - What are the options for the upper grill in the bar ( NO NOT A CHEV BADGE)
    - Headlight suggestions also would be nice. eg, paint the insides of the stock ones black? or go altezza

i think vx ss fog lights should fit but they may be bigger not 100% and as for headlights id go genuine monaro ones. look heap cleaner.

i got a monaro frount end on my VT-pack, the upper grill bit on my frount bar is solid ( part of the rest of the frount bar ) so i can't change it ... dunno if yours is diffrent.

Your gonna have to put the monaro lights in mate, the SS lights are bigger. wiring them up shouldn't be a problem, i ran power from my parkers. and put in a switch... but you have to be carefull. the head lights don't work by conecting the power at the switch, they work by contecting the earth. i was trying to find my parkers, so i turned them on and only to find every wire had power .... you gotta put your test light on the positve terminal on your battery and start poking wires ... when the light comes on. you just found the parkers =) ( im pretty sure thats how i did it )

headlights .... im going to put genuine monaro lights in =) will look nicer

good luck mate, its a worthy investment. i got pics on my thread will put the link on

i wasn't going through the trouble of removing the foggies from the grill but i messured my best and 75mm across and 70mm up down ... =) i noticed that the lights curve with the way the grill goes ..

but $300 + for genuine foggies is a bit expensive ... good luck finding aftermarket ones =)

    post pics !
