Hey guys,
I've got my rear control arms out for powdercoating but need to seperate the hub and bearing assembly from the control arms because of the heat of the oven, do I need to send it to a shop for removal or can I do it myself???
Or is it possible to just mask the hub assembly for powdercoating and the send it through the oven with bearing and hub attached, but I wouldn't think so... its about 240 degrees
I've got a spare trailing arm assembly sitting in my backyard ready for the skip on monday, I will have a go at removing the bearing myself tomorrow and see how I go, because I too am curious as to how it will go incase I need to do it in the future.
I found two related threads on this and apparently you need to get them pressed out, which I've heard before.
I reckon I will be able to get the bearing out no worries... it's just a matter of getting the new ones in properly I'd say.
