cruise control problems

i recently got my vt ss back from the shop and now the cruise control wont work, rather than taking it back and getting charged an arm and a leg i want to fix it myself. ive read other forums about this problem but so far no luck, so ive checked the brake switch and theres 2 switches, the bottom ones for the the brakes and guessing the other ones for the c/control, that one has two plugs but theres only 1 wire pluged in, should there be 2 seperate wires pluged in, if so im having trouble locating it, should it come out of the main wiring harness.

what work has been done at the shop?
If you have a manual, the clutch has a switch, I had to spend some time adjusting it to get the C/C to work.

my room mate crased it and bent the chassy they had to remove the engine to fix it, but everything under the bonnet seems to be pluged in. i found a picture of the switch here, youll see 2 sets of pins, mine has wires plugged into the left pair but not the other ones should there be 2 seperate cables.
