    Default Engine turned itself off!

    Car VT II V6 auto.

I'm a stickler for warming cold cars. Yesterday i warmed the car for a few minutes and started to reverse out. About half way down the driveway steering straight the car died without warning. No warning sounds, no missing or any reason to suspect what was about to happen.

Has this happen to anyone before ?, is this common or an underlying problem what's everyone's thoughts ?.

Did it fire up straight away or is it still not going?

You can check the codes the same way as the VR/VS by shorting pins 5 and 6 on the ALDL connector and counting the engine light flashes.

I'd check the codes first and see if one has logged, then go from there.

Would that sender cause a hesitant start up ?. Would it also give the feeling of a slight flat spot.
