starter motor fowling?

hey guys i have a bosch starter motor. it's for a vt l67 (supercharged six) calais.

the flywheel is rubbing on the housing and possibly the starter motor's gear.

just wondering if anyone can confirm the part number for me?

i had this exact problem when i did my l67 conversion.

i think what happened is when i connected the box to the engine, i didn't line it up properly the first time, and bent the flex plate. made real bad sounds for the first 10 mins of running, and every now and again when reversing.

doesn't do it now with the manual, because the flywheel adaptor pulled the flexplate back towards the box.

and the starter motor was worn down quite a bit, housing, and drive gear.


but in regards to your question, i don't have the starter here sorry.
