Default Question about Speakers for VT Commadore

Well i just bought some new speakers and a stereo for my VT, Two 6 inch speakers came with the stereo which will fit in the front doors but i said to the guy do i get the same as the back doors and he said nah 6x9 will fit in them, he said they have more room or something like that.
I don't get how they would have more room, is he right or maybe he thinks they are going in the upper shelf?

Because if he thinks that then i guess i would have to take them back and get the 6" pair.

    Hope someone can help me.

6x9" will only fit in the parcel tray. Most people when upgrading just speakers will go front door speakers, and some 6x9" in the tray, leave the back door empty, only because 6x9"s can get lower frequencies than 6" door speakers.

. The only exception is spending big money on a custom build. So only 6" or 6.5" speakers for the rear doors.

LOL yes acarmody is right. i also did this. it's a little bit of a job doing the 6x9 on the parcel shelf but the end results are satisfying

They are definitely worth it, make the car look so much better. Unless you got a really awesome (and I mean really really awesome) looking set of 6x9"s, in which case it will be a week before they are stolen, LOL.

definitely...or i just bought the speaker covers off ebay for $20 lol. but it is better to get stock covers coz if you try to put the ones that came with the speaker it'll look stupid coz they're oval shaped and you'll still have the cutting grooves visible for the stockies
