Default Noise comming from rear wheel. Please help me! :(

Hi all i've been seaching these forums for answers to many things related to my car and for once there seems to be no answer

I have just recently purchased my VT commodore from my brother and it has started to make a low groaning noise at slows speeds whilst the breaks are lightly applied. I have just recently had all the pads rotors etc replaced/machined and yet it continues to make it. I have now been to 2 different mechanics (one of with was the RAC) and both of them have found nothing wrong with it. As far as breaking goes all 4 are fully functional. I have never been an aggressive driver in the car and I just want that stupid noise to go it can get really loude sometimes
    please help

    Jason

is it when you lightly lift ur foot off the break while still lightly applying pressure? because it's not uncommon for any car to make a little bit of a noise when the break pads are just breaking friction with the rotors

your wheel fell off lol is t still there? nah i'd say it could be something simple like a stone in the rotor maybe? i also had a noise probelm - it was the lead wieght on the inside of the rim rubbing on the caliper!!

Well as far as i know it isn't a rock or anything because i have paid 2 mechanics to take the brakes apart and look at them fro problems. I did think it was just friction for a while but its just so loud, it sounds like there is a whale groaning in my back seat.
Sometimes you can also almost feel it vibrate to the brake pedal.
I'm Going to take another look at it myself today with a mates dad (mechanic) but whether we find a solution or not is another thing.
It not a high range screech it sounds like well, a whale

rear wheel bearings might be worn? could be warped rotors maybe? jack it up and rotate the wheels in nutreul see if theres excessive friction when spinning the tyre(s) by hand.....thats what i'd do...see how you go anyways

well i know my bearing on one of my wheels is on it's way because there's a slight whining when i accelerate...although that could actually be my replaced single spinner diff having been faultily recond after i blew my lsd...ANYWAY sorry, um well mine does the same thing and it does also sound like a whale. it's when i'm making some really tight manoeuvres so i'm not actually accelerating and need my foot on the break at all times so the friction makes it groan and it is very loud. it's seriously not a problem. but just breaking normally on the road it won't make a sound...unless of course i'm at the lights and i wanna have my foot just on friction point so i can lift and put my foot on the gas real quick. it's just like my grandpas old nissan patrol...that thing was a tank and when he wanted to creep with his foot on the break still, that thing groaned like a mofo. it's nothing to worry about. your mechanic won't find anything. it's a common thing. my gf's magna does it too and her bro is a mechanic and he changes the breaks once a year. i've also had warped rotors before...twice and they don't groan but make the car shake. but ye if your bearing are worn and you jack your car up and try to shake the tyre vertically, it will wobble. not alot, just a very very little. if the bearing is good it won't wobble. but ye

Thanks guys, I've had another look at it and it seems that it must just friction. I heard that there is a silicon type stuff that can get put behind the brake pads that will reduce the noise without "lubricating" my brakes. The bearings are fine on all wheels
