I've searched, but it bought up threads from 2006 and would be a little out dated by now.
After my brothers car got done over the other week, I though I probably should put an alarm on my car. So I'll ask:
What is the best car alarm for a 99 VT Acclaim? and what cost should I be expecting to pay (inc. installation)
I would like one that doesn't use a cheap sounding alarm (eg. multi siren) and integrates with my current keys. I don't want an extra thing to clip onto my keyring.
Thanks in advance.
get a mongoose upgrade alarm. works with your current key

well vt's aren't actually able to get fancy aftermarket alarms anyway specifically because of the current key/remote thing. but if you go to autobarn and talk to them, they have an "upgrade" for vt where they simply just install an alarm to the current system which connects to the doors, windows, bonnet, boot, shock and bump sensors...i know i'm missing something. can't remember the price but it's not too much. i'm doing it next week

ye there's ebay too...my cousin gets EVERYTHING from ebay lol...but personally i don't feel comfortable. that's just me though
I had thought about eBay, but I'm not confident on installation. I've got this thing in the back of my mind that I'll connect something or cut something and all the airbags go off at once hahaha.
went 2 j b hifi the other day and told me the warlok system is pretty gud all up $300 the alarm and to put in is that cheap
