VX V6 power/economy switch

I have just noticed that the power/economy switch just springs up and down and wont click and lock down,also the dash light is not showing,is the switch stuffed ? thanks.

It sounds like it is stuffed, the power light on the dash should light up. They aren't very expensive to buy but a bit of a pain to change.
