hy guys, after applying for a refinance on my loan to buy a wh stato, and finding out what they wanted in interest and the fortnightly repayment i have decided to scrap the idea and just tear apart the vt executive and throw in a 5.0l injected motor from the same year.
what i need to know is,,,, well to be honest i need to know everything
. How much should i expect to pay for a decent condition motor, auto trans, harness and ecu?
. What do i need to replace on the car to make it road legal eg. suspension, brakes, diff????
. How much can be done at home by someone who has done 2 years of auto mechanical/electrical courses at tafe who grew up around the good old 202's????
. Do the guages in the instrument cluster need changing to suit the new setup???
thanks in advance
James

why not an LS1????
It could be more or less the exact same cost to put a ls1 in, might even be cheaper. A good 5 litre from a VT is going to cost you every bit as much as a ls1
ok i figured a 5 litre might work out cheaper, so what would need doing to install an ls1 into my v6 4spd auto vt executive??
i would much prefer the ls1 trust me,,, but like i said i figured the 5 would be cheaper and easier
