Hi,
Hoping to do my light conversion this weekend and just needed some help, when putting in the LED's some people use resistor's and some people dont mention it, my friend did a light conversion to there car and they didnt use any, so should i use them or not? Also with bright enough LED's, should i remove the green backing or not, aprently it looks better without it but is a pain to remove it and you can stuff up removing it making hot spots, which i dont want.
Also, im hoping to get the leds, and maybe resistors, today so in total how many would i need for the Cluster, Mode, Hazard, A/C dials and 2 switches, Shift Selecter, Main windows and 2x Rear Windows, Light Dial and Key Ignition Ring, thanks.
I would pay to have someone do it, but i dont know anyone around the Rockhampton, QLD 4701 region who can do this sort of thing, unless autobarn does it? I dont really want to send my buttons and cluster away and be off the road for a week, thanks for any help.
yes u need resistors they r a must. how many u need and at wat value depends on how many volts u want ur LEDs run at? and if ur goin 2 wire them up in singles or in series ect.....?
reguardless of removing the green film or not and depending how u wire ur leds again this will tell u if u create hotspots or not but it definatly looks 100% better with out it.
search 4 LED conversion in this section and u'll find heaps of help thats in 1 massive thread.
