    Default replacing a lost key?

Ive lost the key to my 98 VT exec. I know its easy to get a replacement cut if i have the original. But how would i go about getting a replacement when i dont have the original? I have the owners manual which lists a numeric code for the key.

Your best bet is to go to Holden with proof of ownership and your numeric code and they should be able to help. It won't be cheap though because you will also need the remote key head.

    hey
if they have to change the ingition barrel, see if u can get a second hand barrel and key and get them to install and recode the key,
cos there replacement keys and barrels are pritty expensive. think its like $90 to recode not sure about installation

western locksmiths dunheved nsw $38 to cut a new key from code or your door lock if you want to pull it out. Second hand head off ebay? you will need to go to an authorised locksmith or GMH dealer to get the head coded to your car
