Default Vu Ute problem, *help a noobie*

Hi guys, First time poster, just joined up.

I got a 2001 3.8L Vu manuel ute, bought it at the pickles autions under damged cars.

    Its done about 160000ks,

I'v started to notice when i change gears say from 3rd to 4th the revs sorta stay the same and even go up a tiny bit. I have my foot completely off the accelrator and clutch all the way down and the revs go up a tiny bit and sorta stay the same. I'm not sure if this is normal because other gears usally the revs go down when i change up a gear.

Also when im traveling at about 70ks+ i feel a vibration in the steering wheel, its not bad its a slight vibration on and off every 1 second but it goes away, its really wierd.

Im a noobie to all this car stuff, but im getting into cars more.

Any sorta help would be apprecatied.

    Cheer everyone.

yeah mate from what we have worked out in a previous thread, was that some of the last ecotec's had the fly by wire throttle control?? have a look at the throttle and see if you have a cable or some type of solenoid, as for the slight vibration i think you need to get the front wheels balanced, i get the same thing at about 90-100km/h
