I thought this was a relatively easy job, I did it last week. Check that the power window button isn't faulty first to save you some time incase it's only that.

1) Disconnect your battery.
2) Remove all screws from the outer door trim, including the ones around the speaker and the bracket underneath.
3) Use a thin razor to pop out the red part on the lock, be gentle as you don't want to break it. Once removed lift the lock and undo the screw behind it.
4) Pop out the cap in the door handle and remove the screw from there and jiggle out the door handle and remove the screw from the white bracket behind that. Pull the door trim back towards you and push up to remove the door trim from the top of the window then pop out the power window button and unclip it to completely remove the door trim.
5) Peel back the clear plastic to reveal the rivets that hold the regulator in. Make sure the window is secure and wont fall and begin to drill out the rivets to release the regulator from the door. Once done slide the regulator out of the groove near the window to separate it and take it out of the door well.
6) put the new regulator inside the door well and rivet it in
7) reverse all the steps to put the door trim back in. Reconnect the battery and your done.

Take the trim off, unplug the harness from the regulator in the car. The regulator is pop riveted in, so you'll need to drill them out.

You have a few options to put the new one in....you can buy new rivets from Holden (pricey no doubt), or use some small nuts/bolts with washers to spread the load. Or you can go real dodgy and tek screw it in (thats what i was recommended by the wrecker....i decided to use some bolts and washers).

Plug it in, install the window glass, and then try it before reinstalling thr door trim.

Worst part is drilling the rivets out. Tookme about half an hour to do.

Time to invest in some new drillbits?

Ha....probably wrote it wrong. The whole change over took about a half hour.

The drilling wasnt bad, but yeah, i think a sharper bit would have been easier!

Ahh, was going to say, half an hour drilling rivets out would be the worst.

Just sharpen the drill bits youv'e got if you have a bench grinder. Save yourself a pretty penny.
