Default Low level coolant light staying on, even though coolant has been topped up

    Hello, can anyone help me?

Im new here and not very mechanically minded. Just today my low level coolant radiator light came on and I went to check and see if the coolant level was low. When I checked, I noticed that there was still a fair bit of coolant, but a little below the line. I topped it up and noticed that the warning light was still on. I took the oil cap off just to make sure there was no water and oil mixture and there wasnt. I also pulled the dip stick out to check the oil and noticed that it looked fine. Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem before and if it was only the low level coolant sensor that needed replacing?

    Cheers

Have you bled the coolant, could be an air pocket near the sensor.

Being a Gen 3 it has no bleeding screw because the coolant reservoir is at a higher level than the engine, eliminating the need to bleed it.
It is most likely that the sensor needs replacing.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
