I have a 98 vt exc with 65,000kms on it and it keeps breaking the throw out bearing. Holden are going to rebuild the box under warrenty which is cool but they told me the cause of it happening is roll over?? What the f*@$ is roll over?? roll over crank or roll over on the clutch? When i asked what he ment he said that its just called roll over then walked away! so i figure you smarter lot in here might have a clue. Why: i had broken 2 throw out bearings and when you shut down the motor theres a clunking sound from the g/box. also when in neutral with the motor running the car shakes slightly but enough to notice. Any help in explaining what roll over could be as i know a little about cars but have never heard of roll over connected to the gear box. Thank heaps :b:
you mentioned that they were replacing it under warranty on a car that is 7 years old, How??? is this an extended warranty or something else. Firstly when did this happen, how many kms and how long appart? from what you are saying there seems to be more to the problem than they seem to be letting on. Why so few kms? How hard are you treating the gearbox?
i treat it good it just sat in a shed for so long and i snapped it up. they are doing it under warrenty as it is under 100,000kms cool huh. its like a brand new car!!!!! if only everybody could get one VT rock!! so any reason for it rolling over?
