engine light coming on

hi in my vt ecotec the engine warning light comes on after driving 4 a while, it goes off sometimes then will comeback on!, then if u dump it it goes off after a couple of seconds then come back on when u let off, any ideas on wat sensor it could be,

Best thing to do is read the fault codes, when the engine warning light comes on it logs a fault code in the engine computer. Do a search on how to read fault (or error) codes.

tru where do i read the codes? cause it dont have the standard stereo in it.
