VT 2000 II Exec side skirts and bumper edging

hi guys,
First post on here so forgive me if i have posted in the wrong section, but i'm looking at colour coding the dark grey plastic which goes around the bottom of my VT so its the same colour as the car.
What steps are involved in doing this, is it just as simple as painting the plastic or does it involve buying a new kit?

Yerr u can spray over the plastic that will be fine but my mate had that done when he got his ute painted and it looks only slightly better if ur going to bother painting it, it would be way better with a new kit can pick them up off ebay for like 700 easy. definately a good investment

mate just use masking tape (for the bits you dont need to spray), and spray right over it, use some undercoat, then give it about 2-3 coats, then 2 coats of clear (lacca) i did that to mine. and it came up a treat. good luck mate.
