paint my interior?

hey guys,

out of curiosity, are you able to paint your dash? ive seen some people with different coloured dashes but ive never really known if theyve painted it themselves or its the colour of the plastic, etc. its for my vx. sorry if im coming off a little bit stupid, im just new to the whole thing haha
