Default VX Spac Removing Spoiler // No Window Light?

Hey guys, Was considering removing my spoiler from my VX S Pac and putting red cv8 monaro lights on it, But I have a problem, Do i "need" to have more than the 2 normal brake lights?

Reason Why I ask is because the cheap son of a bitches at holden put the third brake light on the spoiler, And there's nothing inside of the vehicle at all, Meaning if i remove the spoiler, I've got no third break light...

I'm sure my VR when i had it came with the light on the spoiler and the light in the middle of the parcel shelf..

If i need the third brake light, Can someone please explain to me how hard it is too wire up / install a third break light into the parcel shelf / window or something ??

Seems like such a dog and stupid thing for holden to do to be honest..

lol mine is the same, i didnt even notice till the missus pointed it out the other day, what they have done is blacked out that spot on the rear window, i removed the parcel shelf cover to install 6x9's the other day and the wiring and plug for the bulb is already there same as the bolt hole for the actual light casing, but only problem is you will have to change the rear window to one with that light spot cleared to be able to connect it up.

as for the legal side of it, i guess its fine to not have the light there as thats how it came from factory but also you might have to keep the spoiler for that purpose.

    Hmm, Thanks mate...

Reckon you could just take the black off? Whiping, Stanly Knife or anything? That's such a stupid move... I'd put the light in and keep it black, But seriously, Who notices that light in the first place? I see people's left and right break, Why do you need that third one anyway?

I think you have to have a have a high level brake light on cars made after 1988 . Why not buy an aftermarket one and put in at the top inside of the window ?

Because the cars got this black stuff on the window itself, So i might need too buy a whole back window just too do it... Hmm.. Seriously, What on earth where the morons thinking when doing this? Keep all the "legal" lights to exterior.... Yeah that's brilliant. haha.

you can buy an led strip and place it at the top of the black stuff, just wire it up to the brake lights and you'll be good to go.

one of my mates has done this on his vy sv8

Thanks very much mate, At least that's pretty much done / easy to do.

with the boot holes, you'll either have to weld them up and repsray it or just put some grommits in the holes.
